Description: The designs rear extension use contemporary gold metal cladding to create a truly modern aesthetic. The new extension provides an open plan living and kitchen space, as well as a large new master bedroom.
The landscaping provides a large social space accessible through the large bi-folding doors to the rear of the property. The glazing to the rear allows framing of the views and allows plenty of natural light into the interior spaces.
the property also had a front extension which was done to contextual standards. To achieve this design the roof also had to be lifted to allow for a greater amount of space.

Description: The existing building on site would be removed to make way for this large scale, contemporary design. This residential dwelling would be separated into two buildings using the change in contour that the site currently has.
The lower building which will act as the guest house for the dwelling will boast its own kitchen and two separate bedrooms. The main wing of the building will contain a large open plan living & kitchen space with 2 en-suite bedrooms and separate utility.
The master bedroom spans the entire top floor of the main wing. With one side making use of a balcony covered by brise solei and the other a large walk in wardrobe.

Description: We were contacted by the client who had been looking for a life home who bought the ideal plot and location but the house required a bit of updating.
We focused primarily on the layout reconfiguration and the way the client wanted to live with their family in order to make key decisions. We extended to the rear to infill old extensions as well as converting the Garage in order to gain additional rooms. We then created an outside space at the kitchen level as this was a big disconnection to the garden in the past. Other important design decision included double height spaces at the entrance & stairwell, as well as parking arrangement to the front where level differences made parking very hard.
